SESSION FAQs

Don't worry: we have members of varying levels of fitness. Our Instructors are extremely good at what they do; they ensure every session is accessible regardless of your fitness level.  Let’s face it, you have already made the first step to a fitter you by training with us in the park.

You will beable to store valuables in a locked Operation Fit vehicle during the session.

Non-expensive gym clothes are best.  We train outside so you should expect your clothes to get a little muddy and wet on some occasions.  You should also wear suitable footwear such as running trainers or trial trainers.

Just bring yourself.  Usually our instructors provide the water throughout the session, however, given the COVID-19 situation for the time being we are asking you to bring your own drink with you - we recommend water (not gin!).

Absolutely - we train whatever the weather.  Our fabulous instructors adapt their session plans to suit the conditions.  On the extremely rare occasion that the conditions are so bad that they are unsafe to train in, we will let you know that the session is cancelled with as much notice as possible.

Remember if it's not raining...it's not training!

Our instructors may be loud - but they certainly won't shout at you.  They will motivate and encourage to get the best out of you.

There is no normal session, no two OpFit sessions are ever the same!  We begin all our sessions with a 10-minute warm up to ensure our members train injury free.  we put the emphasis in our sessions on  fun and teamwork - military style.  We do circuit-based training, partner work, strength exercises, team games, running training, equipment-based exercises, resistance training...and so much more.  Every session finishes with a cool down and a well-deserved pat on the back!

GENERAL FAQs

If you join part way through the month, we will take a pro rata payment on the date of joining to cover the remainder of that month.  After that, we set all direct debit payments to take payment on the 1st of each month - but keep an eye on your account because depending on your bank there could be a delay of a couple of days.

There are no contracts or signing on fees; you can cancel your Direct Debit at any time - just let us know by emailing mail@operationfit.uk

Your monthly membership will depend on the package you signed up to when you joined.  If you would like confirmation of your plan contact mail@operationfit.uk

Yes, car parking charges apply. Please ensure that you bring the exact change as no change is given. Daily car parking costs are as follows: £2.10 for up to 2 hours £4.40 all day. Season tickets offer excellent value for regular Operation Fit members, you can use valid parking season tickets for all opening times and days.  You can purchase an annual season ticket for Lydiard Park here.

For your first session be sure to arrive in your kit at the meeting spot 15 minutes before the session is due to start.  One of our instructors will be on hand to make you feel welcome, and to check that you have filled in a health waiver.
